Cost categories
Usage is grouped into product families on the Usage page. Each product family contains a detailed breakdown by resource type.
Product families
The following product families are used to categorise your usage:
| Product family | Examples |
|---|---|
| Compute | Virtual machines, compute hours |
| Networking | Public IPs, static IP addresses |
| Storage | Object storage, file store, disk usage |
| Other | Resources that don't fit the categories above |
The same product families are also used to group fees on your invoice or receipt so that you can compare your fees with your usage.
Usage breakdown
Within each product family, usage is broken down by:
- Resource type — The kind of resource being billed (e.g.,
public_ip,virtual_machine) - Resource SKU — The specific pricing unit (e.g.,
ipv4_static,A1a.s) - Usage type — The specific usage measurement (e.g.,
compute_vm_hours) - Usage unit — The unit of measurement (e.g., hours)
- Total usage — How much of that unit was consumed
- Unit price — Price per unit
- Total cost — Total usage multiplied by unit price
Currency
Usage costs are shown in evroc's billing currency (EUR).
