Custom disk images

Custom disk images allow you to create boot disks using boot images other than the ones provided by evroc.

How custom disk images work

Custom disk image can be uploaded to evroc buckets. Disks can then reference these custom disk images, allowing VMs to boot from them.

Regional scope

Custom disk images are regional resources. A single custom disk image can be referenced by disks in any zone. A custom disk image in one project cannot be referenced from another project.

Limitations

  • Custom disk images must be in .qcow2, .vhdx or .raw format
  • We only support booting with BIOS, not UEFI
