Manage and Invite Users

Users that are part of an evroc organization are also called members. Users with the appropriate role (/iam/roles/organizationOwner or /iam/roles/organizationAccessAdministrator) in an organization can manage membership by:

  • Listing all members.
  • Removing a member.
  • Invite other users to become members.

To manage members, login via evroc Console and navigate towards the Users Management section for your organization.

Manage members

  1. Go to the Users Management section.
  2. Select the Users tab.

From here you can see the current members with their details. This view displays user IDs, which is required to assign role bindings.

From the table is also possible to delete a member: in such case all role bindings are automatically deleted and the user is removed from the organization.

Manage invitations

  1. Go to the Users Management section.
  2. Select the Invitations tab.

From here you can see all invitations that have been created with their details. Each invitation has a status that can be:

  • Created: the invitation request has been acknowledged.
  • Sent: invitation has been sent to the user.
  • Accepted: the user has accepted the invitation.
  • Revoked: an organization administrator has revoked the invitation.
  • Expired: the invitation reached its expiration and cannot be accepted or revoked anymore.

Invitations also have a history of events attached to them, mentioning the action, who executed it and when.

New users can be invited by email. You can also invite users that don't yet have an evroc account. User who accept an invitation will have the /iam/roles/organizationViewer role.

Manage permissions for new users

After a new user accepted the invitation and is now a member, you can assign new roles to them. Note their user ID and create role bindings for them.
